Tire Maintenance
Proper tire maintenance is an important safety function that is often neglected. The most important aspect of tire maintenance is proper inflation. All tires, including the spare, should be checked for proper inflation at least once a month. Under-inflation is the cause of most tire problems and increases the risk of tire failure and blowouts. In order to prevent irregular and premature wear tires should be checked and rotated every 6,000 miles. Maintaining your tires will insure you get the most out of your tires, long life, performance and most of all safety. The importance of properly maintaining your tires cannot be overemphasized. Remember, tires are the only contact between your vehicle and the road.
